About ASPAC Conference 2026

The ASPAC Conference is the annual gathering of the Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centres. It offers a broader professional platform for practitioners, educators, curators, researchers, and institutional leaders to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and explore emerging trends in science communication and public engagement. The conference program features keynote sessions, thematic tracks, parallel discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities that foster collaboration across institutions and regions.
The Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centres Conference 2026 is bringing together representatives from science museums, science centres, research institutions, and related organisations worldwide. The conference serves as a forum for exchanging experiences, showcasing innovative practices, and strengthening professional networks in science communication and public engagement with science. The conference is jointly organised by the Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centres (ASPAC) and the National Science Museum THAILAND (NSM), with support from international partner networks.

How to Register & Pay

Participants must complete the online registration process and follow the payment instructions provided.
Credit Card

The payment system will be available from 15 May 2026. Once it becomes available, a notification email will be sent to registered participants.

Bank Transfer

An invoice will be issued and sent by email. After completing the transfer, please upload the proof of payment via the designated link

Call for Pitches

Science Exchange Tracks (SET) are participatory themed sessions curated by Champions. Each track is designed to explore key issues facing science museums and centers today while equipping participants with practical questions and exploration skills.

Digital Nursery

Instead of physical posters, we will have the Digital Nursery — a space for your digital posters featuring extraordinary projects you would like to share, as well as ideas and questions you would like to pose to challenge your friends in the ASPAC network.

Submission Guideline

Submissions of your digital poster should be in JPG or PDF format, creatively executed, and not too text-heavy. If your submission is designed to loop, it should be in MP4 format and should not exceed 2 minutes. For those who are interested, more details can be found here.

ASPAC Awards 2026

The ASPAC Awards 2026 recognize outstanding ASPAC projects in Creative Science Communication and Creative Science Exhibit, celebrating innovative and engaging initiatives that connect the public with science.

Submission Guideline

  • Nomination for the Creative Awards must be made by completing the nomination form which should be signed by the head of the institution. All materials should be in digital format and submitted through email to : Erika.bajande@themindmuseum.org
  • Nomination form and supporting material for the 2026 Awards must be received on or before 29 May 2026.
  • Nominees who are shortlisted for the Creative Awards will be informed on or before 19 June 2026, so they can have a chance to attend or be represented at the Award Ceremony at ASPAC 2026.

ASPAC Conference 2026 Fellowship Program

The ASPAC Fellowship supports participants from ASPAC member institutions in good standing to attend ASPAC Conference 2026 by providing a USD 1,000 reimbursement for conference-related expenses. Fellows are expected to actively contribute to the conference by presenting in a Science Exchange Track or participating in related sessions.

Science Central

Science Central is a showcasing innovations space for museums which is an integral part of the ASPAC conference, providing a dynamic platform for organisations to showcase innovations, research outcomes, technologies, and services to an international audience of scientists, policymakers, and practitioners.
Museums will have the opportunity to present products, research, and solutions to a highly targeted audience and to network with international experts, decision-makers, and potential partners, thereby increasing visibility and impact within the global scientific community.

Science Central (Exhibition Booth) Fee:

Standard Booth Specifications: Each standard booth measures 3 m x 3 m (9 square metres) and includes one table, chairs, a power outlet, and lighting, in accordance with standard exhibition specifications.

1. Registration

Q: Is pre-registration required?

A: Yes. All participants are required to complete registration in advance via the official conference website.

Q: When is the registration deadline?

A: You may update your information by logging into the registration system and editing your details. Alternatively, you may contact the Conference Secretariat by email for assistance.

Q: Can I transfer my registration to another person?

A: Yes. Registration transfers are permitted. Please contact the Secretariat to request a name change prior to the conference.

2. Payment

Q: What payment methods are accepted?

A: Payments may be made by credit card or bank transfer. Detailed instructions are provided during the registration process.

Q: Do I need to transfer the full amount stated on the invoice?

A: Yes. Please ensure that the full invoiced amount is transferred to the designated bank account. Any bank charges must be borne by the payer.

Q: How will my payment be confirmed?

A: A confirmation email will be sent once payment has been received and verified.

Q: Will I receive an invoice or receipt?

A: Yes. An official invoice and receipt will be issued upon payment confirmation.

Q: What is the cancellation and refund policy?

A: Registration fees are non-refundable once payment has been completed. Participants who are unable to attend may request a registration transfer to another person prior to the conference, subject to approval by the Secretariat.

Q: Will presentation materials be available after the conference?

A: Selected presentation materials may be shared with registered participants after the conference, subject to the speakers' consent.

5. Language and Interpretation

Q: What is the official language of the conference?

A: The official language of the conference is English.

Q: Will interpretation services be provided?

A: Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided where indicated in the program.

6. Visa and Invitation Letter

Q: Do I need a visa to attend the conference?

A: Visa requirements vary depending on nationality. Participants are advised to consult the official Thailand e-Visa website or contact the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in their country.

Q: Can the organiser issue an invitation letter for visa purposes?
