National Science Museum THAILAND

The National Science Museum THAILAND (NSM) is a state enterprise under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. NSM is located in the Technopolis, Khlong 5, Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani, in the central region of Thailand. It was founded in 1995 and opened its first museum, the Science Museum, to the public in 2000.
NSM comprises a network of science-related museums that form an integrated ecosystem of specialized learning environments, including the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Information Technology Museum, Rama IX Museum, and FUTURIUM. All museums are located within the Technopolis complex, adjacent to Khlong 5 in Pathum Thani.
The core mission of NSM is to promote and enhance public understanding of science, technology, and the environment. It seeks to inspire lifelong learning by providing high-quality learning, research, and educational solutions. NSM aims to be a place where everyone can discover the wonders of science through diverse exhibitions, interactive activities, educational programmes, and digital platforms.
In addition to exhibitions and educational programmes, NSM organises professional training programmes, workshops, seminars, and science competitions across a range of fields, including science communication, museum management, taxidermy, and biodiversity, at both national and international levels. In terms of research, beyond collection-based research related to each museum, NSM's two primary research areas are science communication and biodiversity.
Overall, NSM serves more than 4 million visitors annually, ranging from young children and youth to school and university students, teachers, educators, families, tourists and the general public.

National Science and Technology Fair

The National Science and Technology Fair 2026 (NST Fair 2026) is Thailand's largest annual science event, hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and organized by the National Science Museum THAILAND.
This year, NST Fair 2026 will be held during 15 – 22 August 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi province. The fair commemorates National Science Day (18 August) in honour of King Rama IV, the “Father of Thai Science.” It transforms thousands of square meters into an interactive learning environment, featuring exhibitions, competitions, and hands-on activities from local and international organisationsgovernment agencies, universities, and leading tech companies.
Under the theme “Intelligence Science for a Sustainable Future,” NST Fair 2026 highlights how advanced technologies such as AI, biotechnology, and smart resource management can address global challenges. Visitors will explore innovations in energy, agriculture, and urban living that balance progress with environmental responsibility. By showcasing data-driven solutions and green technology, the fair inspires international audiences to harness intelligent thinking for building a resilient and sustainable world.
